The most brilliant people are living from a place of deep curiosity
I believe the most brilliant people are living from a place of deep curiosity. They're not obsessed with predicting the path; they're engaged with discovering it. While the world worships control and certainty, they move differently.
Not because they're reckless, but because they've learned that real life doesn't unfold in straight lines. It opens up through detours and unexpected doors.
A life built on planning is often a life built on fear: fear of the unknown, of change, of failure. But a life led by curiosity? That's where the soul expands.
Curious people don't need all the answers to begin. They don't even need to know the entire "how" something is going to happen. They just need to know the "what" it is they want to make happen. And they just need enough wonder to take the next step.
And that's the difference: planners seek safety; the curious seek truth. One builds a cage. The other builds a meaningful life.
Don't get me wrong. I don't think planning is the problem.
Planning can be useful. It can give us structure, help us organise our lives and sometimes make it easier to move forward when we don't know exactly what we're doing.
But I do think there's a difference between having a direction and needing to know the whole path.
There are things we can only discover while we're living them.
A conversation we didn't know we needed to have.
A decision that opens a door we hadn't seen.
A change of direction that, from the outside, looked like a detour — and eventually took us somewhere we couldn't have imagined from where we started.
There's something beautiful about curiosity in all of this.
It doesn't need to know. It can stay a little closer to the question.
What if…?
What could I discover here?
What is this showing me?
And maybe we can bring that same attitude to our practice.
Coming to the mat without knowing exactly how our body will feel today. Without expecting it to feel the way it did yesterday. Without chasing a particular pose or a particular sensation.
Observe.
Try.
Listen.
Let the practice surprise you a little, and maybe life will too.
We don't always need more control. Sometimes we need a little more curiosity.
Because maybe moving forward isn't about having all the answers before we begin.
Maybe it's about knowing what the next step is — and having enough trust, or enough curiosity, to take it.
